Term Description
Client A combination of client ID and client secret that provide a customer access to the API.
Client ID The client ID (e.g., the "username") for the client.
Client secret The client secret (e.g., the "password") for the client.
Consumer A person that is of interest to the client.
Customer A juridical unit, typically called a business, identified with an organization number.
Enrichment Enhanced data and insights of a person with relevant context from other sources within D&B.
GEDI A unique persistent identifier of a person.
Market The country in which a data provider operates in, and is legally bound to.
Monitoring The concept of subscribing to changes to known persons in a customer's system, e.g. keeping up-to-date information about persons in a CRM.
Onboarding The process of an unknown person becoming known to a customer, e.g. registration in a point of sales system.
